Didymus

FAQs

Do we need to be a registered UK charity to apply?

Yes, Didymus will only fund UK registered charities.

Can we apply for work that takes place online?

The majority of project beneficiaries must live in Greater London or Yorkshire. Work online which is publicly available would not be eligible.

Can we apply for core funding if some of our work takes place outside of Yorkshire or Greater London?

Yes, although you would need to evidence that the majority of your work takes place within Yorkshire or Greater London, and all work must take place within the UK.

Do you fund exhibitions?

We are very unlikely to fund exhibitions; the projects we fund are those where people can be directly and creatively involved in the arts.

Will you fund a one-off event?

Applications for ongoing work are much more likely to be successful.

Do you respond to expressions of interest?

We endeavour to respond to all eligible expressions of interest. Please note that if you are not applying from a UK registered charity, delivering work in Yorkshire or Greater London, you are unlikely to receive a reply.

What information do you need in the budget for a core funding application?

We have a budget template available for both project and core funding, which is not a requirement but may provide a useful framework. If you have been invited to complete a full application, please request this from us if it would be helpful for you. Please note that Didymus will only consider core funding where the majority of the charity’s work concentrates on the arts.
